Thanking Your Body

In this month of Nurturing Gratitude, we will spend some time this week in gratitude for our bodies. These are the vessels that keep us safe, that allow us to show up in the world. Our bodies, our fat bodies, our thin bodies, our disabled bodies, our currently-abled bodies, our tall bodies, our short bodies are all sacred. Some of our bodies need accommodations to show up in the world. Some of our bodies have capacity beyond what is typical. All of our bodies need affirmations and gentleness. Through reflection, meditation, and song, we’ll explore how we can extend gratitude to our bodies for all they do for us and for their wide diversity in which we find the full, beautiful expanse of humanity.
