In this story, Monkey and Hare work themselves into a disagreement by blustering through misunderstanding instead of sharing what’s in their hearts. Hare offers Monkey a sassy challenge, and then he gets stumped as to how to win it. In this worship service, we sing, drum, and hear the story about Monkey and Hare’s contest to build the best hut. The lesson is that living together in community is the greatest gift we have to give and receive. This service is adapted from the story “Hare’s Gifts” by Rev. Ken Collier.
