How We Put Our Faith into Action

Our commitment to social justice manifests itself in many ways, including:

• Active engagement on issues of justice that matter to our local and national communities. Some of our priorities include:
  • Confronting racism and affirming that Black Lives Matter;
  • Supporting efforts for criminal justice reform and challenging mass incarceration;
  • Supporting transgender inclusion and equality in our community and across Massachusetts;
  • Fighting for economic justice, including fair wages and affordable housing; and
  • Supporting work for immigrant rights.
• Providing shelter and meals to families experiencing homelessness through the Family Promise North Shore Boston program.
• Providing weekly meals to community members in need through our Monday and Tuesday night suppers program.
• Empowering impoverished families in El Salvador with health care, training, education, and credit through the Asaprosar program.
• Regular drives to support Beverly Bootstraps by collecting food, clothing, and other necessities for those in need.
• Supporting the annual Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC) Walk, in support of free services to victims of domestic abuse on the North Shore.
• Marching in the annual North Shore Pride parade in support and celebration of LGBTQ community and equality.
