From Smooth Stones to Jagged Rocks … and Beyond

In 1976, Unitarian Universalist theologian James Luther Adams offered five stones of religious liberalism as foundational theological points for our tradition. Years later, Revs. Nancy Bowen and Mike Morran built on these with five jagged rocks of Unitarian Universalism. Today we explore the smooth stones and the jagged rocks. We consider how these foundational points show up for us today, what they mean to us, as individuals and in community, and whether or how we would reframe them today.

Next week is our annual All Souls Day service! All members, friends, and visitors are invited to bring photos or tokens of memory of people or pets who have died to place on our altar.
