“The Transient and the Permanent”

This service will mark eleven years since the members of First Parish voted to call Rev. Kelly as your minister – it will also be his final service of that ministry. Please join us.

June 20th is Flower Communion Sunday, and there will again be two ways to participate – all are invited to take part in either or both. The first way is by sending in a picture of a flower or flowers to be a part of the video montage during the online service that morning. Please use this link to do so: https://www.dropbox.com/request/h9VRdZycUkMbE5m3eOXN

The second opportunity to participate will take place in-person, that Sunday afternoon (June 20th) from 1:30 – 4:00pm. An altar will be set up outside in front of First Parish with vases of flowers (there’ll be some “starter” flowers, at the beginning) together with a display explaining the ceremony and its origins. Rev. Kelly will be on hand to greet folks and to offer his blessing as he takes part in this ritual for the closing of the church year one final time.

  1. Best Wishes, Kelly, wherever you go, whatever you do. It has been a great pleasure having you here, and I wish you joy and success in all that you do. Remember us kindly, as we will remember you. Love, Elizabeth Grassin.
