The following guidelines for returning to indoor gathering are brought to you from your First Parish Board of Trustees and the Re-Opening Task Force. Updated September 3, 2021:

What conditions make it safer to gather?
Our Re-opening task force has determined that when the following conditions are met, it will be safe enough for us to gather indoors.

  • A 7-day downward trend in cases
  • A <5% test positivity rate
  • And fewer than 10 cases/100,000 people

Where are we now?
As of August 28th, 2021, Essex County is experiencing:

  • Cases trending up, from 52 cases/day 1 month ago to now 153 cases/day.
  • 3.8% test positivity rate
  • 19.4 cases/100,000

What now?
For the month of September, we will continue to worship outdoors hopefully at Hale Farm. Until our renovation is complete, worship will begin at 11:30 am on Sundays whether we are outdoors or indoors at First Baptist Church.

September 12
Let us gather together on September 12, the beginning of a new church year and the start of Rev. Susan Milnor’s interim ministry time with us. This pandemic has affected us all. It will be a joy to be together again.
